Ayodhya Verdict Reactions: Time to strengthen ‘Bharat Bhakti’, maintain peace and harmony: PM Modi

New Delhi:

“The Supreme Court of the country has pronounced its verdict on Ayodhya. This decision should not be seen as a victory or defeat of anyone. Be it Ramabhakti or Rahimabhakti, this is the time for all of us to strengthen the spirit of Bharat Bhakti. My appeal to the countrymen is to maintain peace, harmony and unity,” tweeted PM Modi.

“This decision of the Supreme Court is important for several reasons: It shows how important is to follow the legal process in resolving a dispute. Each side was given enough time and opportunity to present its arguments. The temple of justice resolved the decades-old case amicably,” PM Modi on Ayodhya Verdict.

“This decision will further strengthen the confidence of the common man in judicial processes. In accordance with the spirit of brotherhood of thousands of years of our country, 130 crore Indians need to maintain peace and restraint. Need to maintain the underlying spirit of peaceful co-existence in India,” said PM Modi

“I express my gratitude to all the organizations, Sant Samaj of the entire country and countless unknown people who were part of legal procedure for so many years,” said Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

” I welcome the unanimous verdict given by the Supreme Court on Shri Ram Janm Bhoomi. I appeal to people of all communities and religions to accept this decision with ease and remain committed to our resolve of ‘Ek Bharat-Shreshtha Bharat’, full of peace and harmony”, Shah tweeted.

“We welcome the decision by the Supreme Court. This dispute was going on for decades and it has reached the right conclusion. This should not be seen as a win or loss. We also welcome everyone’s efforts to maintain peace and harmony in society. Evryone should contribute to build grand temple,” said RSS Supremo Mohan Bhagwat.

“It is a historic judgement. With this judgement, the Supreme Court has given the message of unity in diversity,” said Varun Kumar Sinha, Lawyer of Hindu Mahasabha.

“Let us all wholeheartedly welcome the apex court verdict. This is neither a victory for anyone nor a defeat for anyone. Don’t react emotionally. Let harmony and peace prevail,” Karnataka CM B S Yediyurappa says.

“Nirmohi Akhara is grateful that SC has recognised our fight of last 150 years and has given the Nirmohi Akhara adequate representation in the trust to be set up by the Central Government to build & manage the Shri Ram Janmasthan Temple,” said Kartik Chopra, spokesperson, Nirmohi Akhara.

“I am happy that Supreme Court has finally delivered a verdict, I respect the judgement of the court. #AyodhyaJudgment,” said Iqbal Ansari, one of the litigants in Ayodhya case.

“We are not satisfied with the judgement. Several contradictions in the judgement, we will study the judgement and decide future course of action: Zafaryab Jilani.

“Some observations are very useful. However, we are not satisfied with the ruling. We are going to go over the judgement and its observations. Land of inner courtyard has been given to other side. We cannot say for sure that we will file review, but until now it seems that we will have to file review,” Jilani said in a press conference.

“Supreme Court’s judgement should be welcomed by everyone, it will be beneficial for the social harmony. There should be no further dispute on this issue, that is my appeal to the people,” said Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
