Govt. to stop flow of India’s share of water to Pakistan

New Delhi:

NDA Government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has decided to stop flow of India’s share of water to Pakistan.

“Under the leadership of Hon’ble PM Sri @narendramodi ji, Our Govt. has decided to stop our share of water which used to flow to Pakistan. We will divert water from Eastern rivers and supply it to our people in Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab,” Union Minister of Road Transport & Highways, Shipping and Water Resources, Nitin Gadkari tweeted.

“The construction of dam has started at Shahpur- Kandi on Ravi river. Moreover, UJH project will store our share of water for use in J&K and the balance water will flow from 2nd Ravi-BEAS Link to provide water to other basin states,” Nitin Gadkari said.

Nitin Gadkari added that “All the above Projects are declared as the National projects.”

India shares water of three rivers with Pakistan. India has only stopped only extra share of water which it was sharing with Pakistan. This is expected to cause big water crisis in Pakistan
