Indian Railways Cancel all train services in the wake of COVID-19 till 31 March

New Delhi :

In continuation of the measures taken in the wake of COVID-19, Indian Railways decides to cancel all trains till midnight of 31st March.

‘All trains including Premium Trains, Passenger Trains, Suburban Trains, Kolkata Metro Rail, Konkan Railway etc shall be cancelled till the 2400hrs of 31 March 2020’, says press release issued by Ministry of Railways.

However bare minimum level of services suburban trains and Kolkata Metro rail shall continue up to 2400hrs of 22nd March.

Ministry says, ‘Trains which had already commenced their journey, prior to 0400hrs of 22nd March, will run up to their destinations’. Adequate arrangement shall be made for the passengers, who have commenced their journeys during the travel and their destinations.

To ensure the essential supplies in various parts of the country, movement of goods train will not restricted.

Passengers of cancelled trains will take their full refund till 21st May, 2020. Indian Railways making adequate arrangements in this regard.
