NIA arrests father and daughter for aiding terrorists involved in Pulwama Attack

National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Tuesday arrested father and daughter for aiding terrorists involved in 14 Feb 2019 Pulwama attack.

According to NIA Tariq Ahmed Shah,50, a truck driver by profession and his daughter Insha Jan sheltered the terrorists in their house at Hakripora in Pulwama district of south Kashmir. It is the same house where the suicide bomber Adil Ahmed Dar recorded the video released by Jaish-e-Mohammed from Pakistan after the attack.

The accused were taken to Jammu and produced before a special court. The special court remanded both of them to NIA’s custody for 10 days.

According to NIA, Shah accepted that his house was used by Dar, Mohd Umar Farooq, Pakistani terrorist and IED-maker, Kamran, another Pakistani terrorist ((both were later killed in encounters with security forces), Sameer Ahmed Dar, a Jaish terrorist from Pulwama, and Ismail, alias Ibrahim, alias Adnan, also a Pakistani terrorist.

NIA said that initial interrogation has revealed that Shah’s 23 year old daughter Insha Jan was in constant touch with Mohd Umar Farooq, a Pakistani IED maker, and was in communication with him over telephone and other social media applications.

40 CRPF personnel were martyred in the Pulwama terrorists attack over a year ago on 14 Feruary 2019.
