Ramlala shifted to temporary temple, beginning the process of constructing grand temple

Ramlala today came to sit on a silver throne in the new provisional temple in the Brahma Muhurta (The Creator’s Hour, when the Heavens rain nectar) on the first day of Chaitra Navratri (a.k.a. Vasanta Navratri/Rama Navratri) – also the Varsh Pratipada day – the first day of Hindu New Year 2077.

The Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath, brought him from his birthplace and placed him in the makeshift temple amid Vedic chantings, prescribed rituals and ceremonial worship, new attires for the Deity and the service of Light (Aarati). Public Darshan (discerning) of the Deity in the interim temple then began. The opening chapter of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple construction is thus complete today.

On this occasion, the UP Chief Minister donated from his own bank account a Cheque for INR 11,00,000 (Rs. Eleven Lakhs) to the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra (Trust) in the presence of Mahant Kamalnayan Das ji, Mahant Suresh Das ji, Mahant Dinendra Das ji, Mahant Shashikantdas ji, Champat Rai ji, Bimalendra Mohan Pratap Mishra ji, Dr. Anil Mishra ji and all administrative and police officers.

The makeshift temple is made of German and Estonian pine wood. The length of the temple is 24 feet, width 17 feet and the height 19 feet. It has a 35 inch pinnacle. This dense durable wood will remain consistently the same in all seasons.
